Graftobian's Airbrush Cleaning Kits come with everything you need to keep your airbrush gun clean and in great working order. Soak small parts, or the entire front of the gun in the jar. Then use the various brushes and airbrush cleansing fluid to remove makeup from cup all the hard-to-reach places. Check for tiny clogs or damage with the handy magnifying glass. Finally, lubricate the needle with a little makeup remover for smooth operation.

Kits Include:

  • 0.25 oz makeup remover for needle lubrication
  • Airbrush cleaning brush set
  • Magnifying glass
  • Jar for soaking airbrush gun overnight
  • #4 round brush
  • Optional: Airbrush Cleansing Fluid

Tips for keeping your airbrush gun clean and working properly:

  • Clean your gun thoroughly after every use
  • If you notice your gun is sputtering and your airflow is normal, the needle may be loose or your gun may have a clog in it. First, check that your needle is tight by twisting the nut near the back of the gun that is visible through the rear of the gun. If it is tight, then the gun is more likely clogged and needs to be cleaned.
  • To clean your gun, first spray a little cleansing fluid into the makeup cup, and spray it through the gun to remove any wet makeup and tiny clogs. If the gun is still sputtering or not spraying at all, disassemble the gun. Pull the needle out of the back, taking care not to bend the tip. Remove the nozzle caps, assembly and the nozzle itself. Be careful that the nozzle doesn't roll away because it is so tiny.
  • Use airbrush cleansing fluid and the brushes provided to scrub the dried makeup out of the cup, nozzle and, barrel and anywhere else. This may take awhile and can be somewhat tedious, but it dried makeup is very stubborn. Clogs love to hide, especially between the nozzle and the cup there they are not visible. The ring of five cleaning brushes in the cleaning kit will pull makeup out of this area. After you have removed all the visible makeup and scrubbed inside the barrel of the gun, rinse the pieces in cleansing fluid and reassemble the gun to check it. If the problem persists, there is still a clog.
  • To work these clogs loose, sometimes the front half of the gun needs to be soaked. Fill the small jar from the cleaning kit with cleansing fluid and place the gun in the fluid, tip down. Soak the nozzle in the same jar if to loosen clogs. It is most effective to soak the gun for a short time, just a few minutes, and then clean the gun again. Repeat this process as necessary.
  • Repeat these process until you can look straight the tiny nozzle and gun barrel and see a nice round circle of light on the other side. Make sure all fluid is out, as this can obscure the view. Reassemble your newly cleaned gun!
